A personal message.
Speaking personally, I’m a competent and safe pair of hands who always sees an enquiry through to completion. I always put the interests of residents above all else. Don’t take my word for this, ask the 1,000+ people I have visited, and have provided help to. This help often goes far beyond my council remit.
I often ask the difficult questions that others overlook, not only to hold Bradford Council to account but also the combined authority. This is all available on webcast from Bradford Council and the West Yorkshire Combined Authority.

Please take ID on polling day.
Remember, you will need to show photo ID when voting at a polling station.

Voting opens in
All out elections in May 2026
This May, Bradford Council are holding local elections, and in each ward all Councillors will be standing for election/re-election. Residents will have to choose 3 people to represent their ward, so you’ll have the opportunity to vote for 3 people. The Wharfedale ward (26) will now include some parts of Ben Rhydding.
You will be able to vote by post and in person at a Polling Station. If you intend to vote at a Polling Station, please ensure that you have a valid form of ID, Driving Licence, Passport, etc. If, however, you are a postal voter, please ensure that you have registered to vote in the last 3-years. If you have not already done so, see this page for more information: https://www.bradford.gov.uk/your-council/elections-and-voting/voting-by-post/
I have also taken the time to explain some of the work which I have carried out over the past 2-years. Links are given for each area in which I have worked to support the local community, all backed by facts. If you need further information, I can provide supporting information and evidence.
I will always adhere to the Nolan Principles.
The Seven Principles of Public Life (also known as the Nolan Principles) apply to anyone who works as a public office-holder. This includes all those who are elected or appointed to public office, nationally and locally, and all people appointed to work in the Civil Service, local government, the police, courts and probation services, non-departmental public bodies (NDPBs), and in the health, education, social and care services.
-
Selflessness -Holders of public office should act solely in terms of the public interest.
-
Integrity – Holders of public office must avoid placing themselves under any obligation to people or organisations that might try inappropriately to influence them in their work. They should not act or take decisions in order to gain financial or other material benefits for themselves, their family, or their friends. They must declare and resolve any interests and relationships.
- Objectivity – Holders of public office must act and take decisions impartially, fairly and on merit, using the best evidence and without discrimination or bias.
- Accountability – Holders of public office are accountable to the public for their decisions and actions and must submit themselves to the scrutiny necessary to ensure this.
- Openness – Holders of public office should act and take decisions in an open and transparent manner. Information should not be withheld from the public unless there are clear and lawful reasons for so doing.
- Honesty – Holders of public office should be truthful.
- Leadership – Holders of public office should exhibit these principles in their own behaviour and treat others with respect. They should actively promote and robustly support the principles and challenge poor behaviour wherever it occurs.
